How do I create a field?

To create a new field go to Setup and Field Information. You will see a summary list of all fields for the selected farm available in the selected year. Make sure that you have the correct year selected before creating a new field. Fields will only be available for the selected year going forwards. Note that fields can be imported from Geofolia and Gatekeeper so please speak to Support if you have lots of fields to create from either programme 

Also be aware that if you intend to use the Fertiliser Module then fields need the previous year crop for the nutrient calculations to function so it may be worth creating the field in the previous crop year to what you intend.

When you have the correct farm and year selected, click on New.

Enter all of the required data as per the example below. Note that some are optional data entries such as the National Grid Reference. Required entry is denoted with an *. Click on Save once you have entered your information.

The new field will now appear in the field lists and be available to create records against.
