You will see Fertiliser Descriptions in Setup > Crop & Seed Data > RB209 as well as in the Fertiliser Planner. Below you will find out what fertiliser descriptions are and how they are used in the program.
When adding a fertiliser to a fertiliser plan you are required to enter the information as required below. The fertiliser description is a summary of the fertiliser application making it easier to reference. You will see that there is a ‘Description’ entry with N1 in the example with N1 referring to the first Nitrogen application. The second Nitrogen application would be N2 etc. When exporting jobs to Geofolia/Gatekeeper the description is also used to separate the different jobs/activities as an N1 application would be a different job to an N2 application for example.
A standard list of fertiliser descriptions is provided with the program and looks like that below. You can add/edit this list by going to Setup > Crop & Seed Data > RB209.
It is possible to link the Fertiliser Description for each crop to a default Growth Stage and Timing so when adding a fertiliser you just need to select the description and the growth stage and timing boxes will auto populate to the defaults set. Once setup this saves a lot of time.
To set up the defaults, go to Setup > Crop & Seed Data > RB209. Ensure that you are happy with the Fertiliser Descriptions in the right hand pane. Then select a crop type in the left hand pane. Note that you do need to setup defaults for each crop type individually.
It will display the existing defaults and you can add others by clicking on NEW. Select the relevant options from the dropdown lists and click on SAVE.
